Goal Update - Increase Yearly Income

With only a few weeks left of the year I have successfully earned more income this year compared to 2013. My goal was to increase my earned income by 5% which comes out to $34,257. I am hoping to successfully complete another goal by then end of the year. The other thing I will be working on will be to update my goals for 2015.

2014 Goals:
  • Increase my yearly income by 5% or $34,257 (Completed 12/16/14)

I am thinking of keeping the increase at 5% for the new year. If I can steadily increase my salary every year by that much I should be doing very well for myself throughout my 30's.Cheers to the new year and continued success!

    1. R2R,
Thank you very much. I am happy that I have been able to increase my earned income for the last few years. It's taken a lot of hard work to get to this point but 2015 is shaping up to be a very good year for me. I am starting my new career tomorrow which will help achieve my goals while working much less. Best wishes to you as well!

    1. AA,
I really like this goal because it keeps me wanting to grow in my field of work. I don't want to continue making the same salary year after year. Essentially I would like to work for a company who continues to reward my efforts as an employee be giving me raises so that I may grow with the company. I am starting a great career opportunity tomorrow and I hope this might be a job I could see myself grow with. Best of luck to you in 2015.

    1. Mr. CC,
Thank you for stopping by. I am hoping to continue increasing me income every year in order to keep up with inflation and achieve financial independence at a faster rate. Right now I am focusing on these short term goals in order to someday exit the rat race. If I can keep increasing income by 5-7%, I would essentially be doing myself a huge favor. The bonus is I would have more disposable income to invest.

Thank you very much. I hope I can complete some of my other goals for the year but time is running out. I have been extremely busy at my career and the commute is extra long. Hopefully I can plug away at another purchase by the end of the year to finish off strong.

  8. You looking at adding to DNKN, YUM, SBUX? They have been getting hammered lately. I bought $1500 of DNKN and $1500 of SBUX yesterday, out of my L3 checking account.

  9. Anonymous,
I was actually thinking of adding all three with the recent dip in the price. Thank you for reminding me of these because I am hoping to get a small order placed on Monday. You can't go wrong with adding at these levels in the coffee corporations. DNKN will do well for the long term once they expand into the rest of the country. My order wont be anywhere close to the amount you invested because I am running low on capital but that will change soon when I replenish my cash reserves.
